Join us this International Women's Day (IWD) to accelerate action towards gender equality and support women in the workplace.
International Women's Day
Fashioning Futures: An International Women's Day Event
This year's IWD theme is all about accelerating action, and we're taking that to heart. Women are disproportionately affected by long-term unemployment, facing setbacks that go beyond the statistics. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to work and thrive. Join us for an exclusive event combining networking, delicious food, and a meaningful cause.
Exclusive Three-Course Lunch at The Eight Club: Indulge in a delectable three-course meal at the prestigious Eight Club. Enjoy a sophisticated dining experience while connecting with like-minded individuals passionate about empowering women in the workforce. This is a fantastic opportunity to network and share ideas in a relaxed and elegant setting
Hear from Experts: Gain valuable insights from frontline experts and changemakers actively working to improve the state of women in work. They'll share their knowledge and perspectives, informing you about the current landscape and what actions you can take to accelerate change.
Clothing Donation Drive: We're hosting a clothing donation drive to support women as they re-enter or advance in the workforce. Bring your unworn or pre-worn professional clothing to donate! Your contributions will directly empower women seeking employment.
Raising Awareness: In addition to the clothing drive, we'll be opening discussions about the challenges women face in the workplace and finding ways to enable change.
The Speakers
Founder, Pomegranate House
Hana Mostavie, a leading voice in the fight for gender equality, will share her expertise on the critical intersections of women, work, and equality. With over a decade of experience with the UN, UK Parliament, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, NSPCC, and The Children's Society, this globally recognised researcher, policy advisor and speaker will share her insights on the state of women in work, just before presenting at the UN Commission.
Advance Charity
We often talk about statistics and policies, but behind the numbers are real women with real stories. Annie Gregory from Advance will bring those stories to life, exploring the experiences of women who are out of work or have relied on support services at the intersection of criminal justice, work and abuse, showing us the human impact of policy decisions.
