The Challenge

Fragmented Processes and Lack of Visibility

BBC Studios is the main commercial arm of the British Broadcasting Corporation.
As a world-renowned leader in media and entertainment, they wanted to keep pace with a rapidly evolving digital media landscape and modernise their campaign planning and ad operations.

They noticed that manual workflows could be run more efficiently, as it was hard to gain real-time visibility into campaign performance. Recognising the potential for a more streamlined and automated approach, the ad operations and media planning teams sought an integrated platform to transform their work. They partnered with Solution Junkies to support this process.

  • Manual workflows had created several key issues:
  • Limited Efficiency: Manual processes were slow and inefficient.
  • Lack of Real-time Visibility: It was difficult to get an up-to-date view of campaign performance.
  • Disjointed Systems: Operations were fragmented, preventing a unified platform for planning and execution.

These challenges made it difficult for the BBC Studios to keep up with the fast-paced digital media landscape and hindered the ability of their teams to operate effectively.

The Solution

End-to-End Automation with Salesforce Media Cloud

To address these challenges, Solution Junkies implemented Media Cloud Ad Sales Management. The project involved launching the solution to approximately 90 users across five live locations, including the USA, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, and India. 

Salesforce Media Cloud was enhanced with Tableau dashboards for campaign analytics and performance tracking. Salesforce Contract Lifecycle Management was also implemented to manage and generate contracts.

This integrated platform enabled end-to-end automation of campaign planning, execution, and reporting. This streamlined workflows, reduced manual input, and improved campaign visibility for teams. 

As part of the go-live process, over 85 people were trained to ensure a smooth transition and successful adoption of the new platform.
